C Corporation tax-year options

Question
What are the tax-year options for a C corporation.
Answer
For C Corporations, there are two tax-year options: calendar and fiscal.

Under the calendar year, you use a 12-month period beginning January 1 and ending December 31. Under the fiscal year, you use a 12-month period ending at the end of any month of your choice other than December. For example, a C corporation fiscal year might begin April 1 and end the next March 31.
