Calming call jittersQuestion How can I avoid letting my nervousness give a bad impression, when making calls?
Answer The key to overcoming call jitters is preparation and practice. And then more preparation and more practice.
A script can take the pressure off and help you remember what to say. Just don't let it lock you into a dialog or sound like a recording. Use the script as a guideline for the points you want to make, but stay active in conversation with the prospect. Try writing out your idealized version of the entire exchange. This will familiarize you with the ideas you want to convey and help you find the most important ones. Then, turn that script into an outline or a list of talking points.
