Computer use

It is still possible to operate some small businesses without a computer. But for most managers and entrepreneurs, it would be difficult to imagine managing information and automating tasks without a computer and dozens of computer programs and applications.

Examples of computer-generated applications that even the smallest business can benefit from include, but are not limited to:

- Sending and receiving email, including to and from customers.

- Gaining access to a world of information through an Internet connection and the World Wide Web

- Management of accounting records

- Managing cash flow with electronic spreadsheets

- Preparation of documents with word processing programs
