Answer Consumer goods are products that are produced for consumption and use by human. There are three sub-categories of consumer goods:
- Durable consumer goods, which are used continuously or frequently for more than a year: cars, furniture and household appliances for example - Semi-durable consumer goods, which are used more than once with a lifetime of about a year or so: shoes, clothing and household linens for example - Non-durable goods, are typically consumables, used only once: food, beverages and gasoline for example Sales of consumer goods are tracked by the government as one of a number of measures of the growth and financial health of an economy.
