What is the definition of "conversion cost"? 
Answer
Conversion cost is the expense related to changing something from one state of being to another. For example, the cost to convert a prospect to a customer may be measured and used to help manage a business. Also, the cost of converting raw materials to work in process may be used to help establish standard costs.
