Credit information procedure

Question
Are there any limits on how an employer may use credit information?
Answer
When requesting a credit report, the employer must certify to the credit bureau that the credit information will not be misused.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) defines requirements relating to permitted use of credit information. It also specifies procedures for disclosure of credit information, notification procedures and disposal of credit information.
