Employee raises on anniversary

Question
Should I give pay raises on the employee's anniversary of employment?
Answer
Many employers customarily make employee compensation adjustments on an annual basis.
However, the timing or frequency of adjustments is at the employer's discretion, unless otherwise defined by an employment agreement.

Pay adjustments scheduled on an annual cycle may be associated with the employee's employment anniversary, or on a designated calendar date or period. Some organizations consider pay adjustments at the start of the calendar year or the company's fiscal year.
