Employee selection tipsQuestion What job interview tips will help me select good employees?
Answer In addition to the normal conversation you already have with prospective employees about an open position, consider these tips:
- Ask questions that focus on job related issues. - Ask questions that will tell you about the candidate's skills relative to the job opening. - Ask questions which require the candidate to explain job experiences. - Avoid talking too much; instead, ask questions and listen to the answers. - Ask open ended questions such as "Tell me about..." which calls for information, not yes or no answers. - Be prepared to offer a second or follow-up question to probe for more details. - Ask the candidate his or her personal success goals.
