Entrepreneurial questions

Question
How can I know if I have what it takes to own and manage a small business?
Answer
Here are a few questions to ask yourself. Remember, you're going to have to be the driving force behind your business, whether you're the only employee or you have 100 people working for you. So answer these questions as critically and honestly as you can, and then proceed based on those answers.

- Are you a self starter or do you require others to motivate you?

- As your business grows, could you manage a variety of personalities?

- Do you have difficulty making decisions, or can you make decisions quickly when necessary?

- Leading a small business is hard work and emotionally draining work. Do you have the physical and emotional stamina necessary to deal with the good and bad times?

- Business management is a profession. Do you have the necessary business and technical skills?

- You'll be required to make plans, set goals and execute. Can you do that?

- Will your family support you, even when things aren't going well?

- Can you sell yourself and your company to investors and customers?
