What organizations are covered by The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act? 
Answer
All persons or organizations that hold consumer information that is a consumer report or derived from a consumer report in any form are subject to the regulation.

This rule does not apply to an individual consumer who has obtained his or her own consumer report.
