Finding an attorneyQuestion How do I find a qualified attorney for my small business?
Answer Ask your friends who own small businesses which law firms they prefer, including to set up their company, as well as for ongoing advice on things like contracts.

Call these law firms and ask to speak with an attorney who handles small business formations, contracts, etc. Ask to set up an appointment to interview them about their services. Be prepared to talk about the specifics of your business, including how you're structured legally (sole proprietorship, corporation, etc.), what kinds of contracts you're likely to be working with, and any other issues that typically require an attorney's counsel. Try to talk with at least two referred attorneys and then choose the one you like best. Related Categories: Business Structure, Legal
