Finding suppliersQuestion How do I find suppliers, manufacturers and distributors with whom I can work in my business?
Answer Every industry has players whose business models are designed to serve companies within that industry. Spend time in your industry, with a keen eye on meeting these organizations and their representatives. Evaluate them as potential vendors and resources.
Other resources are: - The Thomas Register, which lists manufacturers by categories and geographic area. - The library and the Internet. Spend time performing research to find directories, catalogs and industry trade associations with information on vital resources. - The phone and email. Contact those you find in your field of interest and use them to help you network with others. - Trade shows. These are great sources for finding suppliers and their offerings.
