First contact with a referral
What is the best way to contact a prospect after they've been referred to my by someone in my network?
When you've been told by someone that they've made a referral for you, ask them which of these three methods the recommend you use. Should you:
1. Write a letter or send an email?
2. Call the contact?
3. Set an appointment for a face-to-face meeting?
If you can't ask the source of the referral, default to options 1 or 2, and recommend an opportunity to meet face-to-face.
