Giving a successful speech

Apply these five success tips when preparing for an important speech:

1. Write the text and make advance decisions about phrasing.

2. Study the surroundings in which you'll be speaking, familiarizing yourself with the accoustics, sound equipment, lighting, space, etc.

3. Polish on your appearance, physical presence and gesturing.

4. Rehearse until you’re ready to give a very effective speech, and then rehearse again.

5. Plan to have fun. Then have fun.
