Illegal items on eBay

Generally, if it is illegal to sell something anywhere in the United States, you cannot sell it on eBay. Before putting anything up for sale on eBay, you should check eBay's Prohibited and Restricted Items overview, which is pretty comprehensive. If eBay sees you are selling something illegal on its network, it will pull your auction and send you a polite note advising you against doing that again. In some extreme cases, you may be banned altogether from eBay.
