Volume is very important in effective communication. Many factors can be involved in holding someone's attention when speaking to them, but perhaps none more so than emphasizing consonants.

By simply emphasizing strategic words or syllables beginning with consonants, the expressive nature will help captivate your audience and drive home your points much more clearly.

For example: "I recently returned from London." When you have inflection and volume with the "L" in London, you punctuate your point and hold on to your audience.
