Industry stats in business plan

Question
Should industry statistics be shown directly in the business plan, or in footnotes?
Answer
It's certainly appropriate to refer to specific stats that you've found through research that support your market and financial assumptions. But don't clutter your presentation with unnecessary charts and graphs. Unless the visual is compelling, put the graphics and other information in the footnotes.
