What can I do to be more successful in a job interview?
Do your best to be relaxed, so you can contribute to a relaxed experience where a conversation takes place.
Prepare an elevator speech. This concise story says the most important and interesting things about yourself, and can be told in about the amount of time it takes to travel a few floors in an elevator.
Be sure to ask the interviewer questions. Your interest in the company -- and your ability to listen -- is much more likely to result in a job offer. Also, creating a dialogue makes you come across as confident, not needy. You want to create the perception that you are a brand in demand.
