Answer
A job offer is the formal communication made by an employer to a job candidate in which the employer offers a job to the individual. A job offer can be a oral offer, made in person or over the telephone, or in can be a written offer, communicated in a letter or by electronic means, such as e-mail.

A job offer typically includes elements that specify the job description, the pay, a starting date and time and any preconditions of employment such as drug or medical testing. The offer may also specify job location, work schedule and other details or information that was discussed or agreed to in the course of the employment interview.
