Key interview questionsQuestion What are some key questions to ask an employee candidate during an interview?
Answer Here are some questions to ask a perspective employee:
1. What do you consider your most significant accomplishment? The candidate should be able to provide example of involvement in a situation or project that includes factors such as long hours, attention to detail, a tight deadline, or hard work that resulted in a successful outcome. 2. What do you consider your most significant strength? The candidate should be able to provide specific examples of more than a couple of strengths that are compatible with the available position. 3. Why do you believe you're qualified for this job? Look for the candidate to name two or three main factors that relate to the job being interviewing for. The candidate should be specific and include a technical skill, management skill, or personal success story. 4. How have you grown or changed over the past few years? Maturity, increased skills, heightened self-confidence, etc., are important developmental aspects. Being able to discuss these attributes effectively is indicative of a well-balanced, intelligent individual. Overcoming personal obstacles or recognizing manageable weaknesses demonstrates that the candidate is approachable and managable.
