Master franchise definition

Question
What is a master franchise?
Answer
A Master Franchise typically involves control of the franchise rights for an entire geographical region, such as an entire state, rather than just one location.

The Master Franchise model is like owning your own franchise company inside of a franchise. The Master Franchise holder shares in the franchise fees and royalty income from franchises that you sell in your area for the franchise company.

However, a master franchise still comes with the requirement to follow the franchise guidelines.
