Networking for home-based businesses

Being home-based does not have the stigma it had a few years ago. From small entrepreneurs to major corporate executives who telework (or occasionally work from home), many people know the productivity and professional gains made working from home.

Still, where you work from should be merely a detail that may or may not come up in a networking conversation. Divulge this information only when it is pertinent to the conversation.

In most cases, being home-based shouldn't be an influence on the new relationship being made, but it may influence how your network uses and refers your business, depending on your ability to provide product and service.
