Online seller's obligations

Question
What are my obligations as an online seller regarding disclosing the condition of items to be sold?
Answer
At the very least, you should make a reasonable inspection of each item you sell and point out the defects that you see. You should post as many photos of each item as you can afford, from every angle and in sufficient detail that one can see chips, gouges, missing pieces, and other defects that you can see with the naked eye.

Finally, and this is especially true when dealing with expensive or one-of-a-kind items such as antiques, you may want to have someone who is more knowledgeable about the item inspect it and tell you if there are any defects that would impact the decision of a reasonable and knowledgeable buyer.
