How do I protect my business computer data from hackers and viruses? 
Answer
There are a number of steps you can take:

- Use password protection and encryption on all key files.
- Anti-virus protection with automatic update features and firewalls are an absolute must.
- Be especially careful of using any public WiFi hotspots.
- Always encrypt your wireless network at the office and home.
- Consider the use of biometric identification devices for your computers.
- Don’t put critical data on portable computers.
- Lock up your computers and servers with hardware as well as software.
- Keep your operating systems and key software fully up to date (patched).
- Be careful with employee access.
