Real estate definition

Real estate, also real property, is land and any improvements, such as buildings, affixed to land. Examples include, but are not limited to:

- Land, such as a building lot, a large tract of land, a farm
- Improved real estate, such as a residence, apartments, commercial property, a warehouse and a factory.
