Finally, a new type of fax machine - the "Broadband Fax" - has emerged. It scans your outgoing faxes and converts them to Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files or digital image (.tif) files. It transmits them over the Internet via a broadband connection, and they're received on the other end as digital attachments.
