Referral incentive examples

Question
What are good incentives to offer to people who provide me with referrals?
Answer
Of course, the very first thing to do when you learn that someone has referred you, whether incentives are involved or not, is to let them know and to thank them.

Incentives can range from simple recognition, such as that thank you, to other rewards, including monetary, based on business generated. However, creativity is the key to any good incentive program.

There are many novel ways in which businesspeople can reward those who send them referrals. For example, a female business consultant could send bouquets of flowers to men, a music storeowner could send concert tickets, or a financial planner could send change purses and money clips.

Remember, finding the right incentive is a big challenge especially if you want to score big building word-of-mouth business. To make it easier on yourself, get opinions and feedback from others who have a significant interest in your success.
