Researching business numbersQuestion When developing the sales, net income, and gross benchmarks objectives in my business plan, is there any research available?
Answer Professional organizations, trade associations, business analysts, consulting companies and business magazines often compile industry data. Library and Internet searches are likely to find the specific industry information you are seeking. Look for financial data publishers.
Your banker also likely will have access to financial ratios published from industry research on business financial statements broken down by size, sales, etc.
