ROI elements for e-commerce servicesQuestion When considering adding a new e-commerce service, how do I evaluate it from a return-on-investment (ROI) standpoint?
Answer There are three basic things to track the ROI for any web service:
1. Cost Chain - Tells how the service saves money. 2. Value Chain - How the service increases sales or provides additional value for customers. 3. Transaction Chain - Saves money by reducing or eliminating a process or step. A defined ROI (return on investment) justification should be established when any new product or service is being proposed.
