How do I determine why sales are down? 
Answer
A variety of events hinder sales:

- You may not be getting as many people through the door (traffic count). Spend your time and effort on bringing more people in the store.

- Your salespeople aren't getting people to actually buy your product or service (close ratio). Spend your time and efforts on training salespeople to improve their close ratio.

- You're not selling your customers as much with each receipt (average sale). This could be a merchandise problem; salespeople might not be adding-on or up-selling.

With this information you will be poised to have a dramatic impact.
