1. Fear of investing in your business and yourself. Business success requires investment in the most important assets, which include you. Investing requires risk-taking.

2. Lack of attention to the outside world. Your business, no matter how small, is impacted by the greater global marketplace. Develop an awareness for what's going on around you, especially beyond your four walls and home town.

3. Lack of self confidence. Often a man's ego will get him through a tough time, even when his competence may be weak on that issue. Too often a woman's lack of confidence will fail her, even when her competence is strong.
