Using photos for online auctionQuestion Can I use a photo someone else has taken for my advertisement on eBay or other online auction?
Answer It is possible that this is legal, but this is loaded with potential pitfalls. Here are two dangers in using photos that aren't the ones you took of your item:
1. You may be violating the copyright of the person who took the original photograph. 2. You may copy-and-paste a photo of an item that is not the same exact item that you are selling in your auction.
