Value of a tax deductionQuestion How do I determine value of an item that's tax deductable, such as a business meal?
Answer The answer depends on your tax bracket, which is dependent on the way you organize your business.
You can generally value a deduction you take at the highest tax rate you would pay if you did not take the deduction. For example, if a deductable expense is $100, and you're in a 25% bracket, the deduction is valued at $25.
