Web site animationQuestion Are there drawbacks to using Flash animation on a web site?
Answer Designers love to add flash-animated introductions to a web site, because it adds a third dimension which may provide some excitement. But remember that this capability - sometimes mocked as 'dancing bologna' by programmers unimpressed with flash - can also be a hindrance for fast and easy access to your web site.
Your clients are likely to visit your site many times, and probably won't to want to watch the same animation every time. If you have animation, give users the option to view it once the rest of the content is available, and only as often as they are interested in doing so.
