What type of computer for small business start-up

Question
What do I need to consider when purchasing a computer for a new small business.
Answer
If you're not using video games, almost any current PC will suffice. Your purchasing criteria are about speed and features: a $1200 computer will be a bit faster than the $800 model.

But remember that this will be an important business tool. Don't scrimp on quality. The laptop vs. desktop decision is based on how you work. If you need mobility, get a laptop with Wi-Fi. Make sure you have some kind of external backup system, like a rewritable CD drive or an external hard disk that plugs into a USB port. There are also some online back-up systems that work well.

Also, be sure to subscribe to one of the Internet security products that protect you from viruses, hackers and spyware.
